The basics of interface design

Not being a designer, I am no expert in interface design, but I do know the basics (and thankfully, there are helpful tools and libraries out there these days to help withmake these tasks)tasks easier than they used to be).

The aim of this articlechapter is to point outexplain some of the most criticalimportant concepts.concepts, and illustrate how to make use of them.

Feedback

Feedback, in a design context, means that the interface gives some response to the user indicating what a particular part of the interface does. A good example is that on most websites, hovering over a button will cause the button to light up or change colour in some way, indicating to the user that the button is not just a rectangle with text in it, but something that can be interacted with.
